Earl’s Authentics

Contracted by Superbase Creative to create a brand identity for Kelly Long's new retail shop Earls Authentics. Named after Kelly's grandfather, Earls Authentics was established to bring premium mens outdoor and workwear apparel to Sun Valley / Ketchum to target an untapped demographic in the area.

In collaboration with Kelly Williams (Superbase Creative) we explored different mark’s that were inspired by the brand rapha while still honoring a classic heritage look and feel of an outdoor brand like eddie bauer. The goal was to make the mark feel high end and fun. When considering color we looked at how most outdoor brands lean into the greens and earth tones.  With that in mind we wanted the high end feel to come from a midnight navy with a bold pop of the bright reddish pink accent color. The bold look paired with a bold font gives Earl’s a clean and modern sophistication while feeling true to the outdoor brands of our forefathers.
