Pet Food

Ketonatural

Daniel Schulof, writer of “Dogs, Dog Foods and Dogma” saw a gap in the dog food market and wanted to introduce Ketonatural, a new keto-friendly dog food. Daniels focus on health led to the decision to target health conscious dog owners that resonated with athletic brands.

My role, in collaboration with Matthew Wordell (Visionkit Studios) was to facilitate the creation of the visual identity and identity systems that would be used as the brand grew into larger markets.

Role:

Creative Direction
Identity Systems
Graphic Design
Packaging

The Problem:

Ketonatural was new to the market and needed an identity system and packaging to go to market.

The objective:

Create a logomark that reflects the same styles and aesthetics associated with athletic brands like nike or Adidas. Design a clean label so the packaging can be used as a tool to inform consumers about the health benefits of the Keto diet for their pets.

The Solution:

A Logomark inspired by the nike swoosh that incorporates A dog and cat heads (to indicate an expansion of their initial offering). The marks is paired with a minimal font treatment allowing the mark to stand out on its own for brand recognition. The packaging utilizes a clear hierarchy, line separations and icons as a tool to educate, inform, and make selecting dog food easier for the Pet owner.
